SAUCES - ALFREDO

FETTUCCINE ALFREDO



ALFREDO SAUCE

1-Pint heavy whipping cream
½ cup unsalted butter or margarine
One cup grated parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1-teaspoon nutmeg
1-teaspoon garlic powder
½-cup fresh chopped Italian parsley (or 1-teaspoon dry parsley)

Heat heavy cream over medium heat and add butter; stir gently to melt.
Stir in grated parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, nutmeg and garlic powder and cook 5 minutes
Stirring gently.
Add cooked pasta, stir well sprinkle parsley on top, and serve

Optional: Add some sautéed mushrooms and sprinkle some fresh ground black pepper
