FOOD FROM UMBRIA 1

UMBRIA
 
 
ASSISI - ST.FRANCIS SQUARE
 
 
SPAGHETTI COL RANCETTO
Ingredients per 6/8 persons
.
Ingredients:
1 box spaghetti
4 tomatoes diced very thin
6 slices of bacon diced small
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion diced small
2 tsp marjoram ( 1 if fresh )
Pecorino, Parmesan or Feta cheese
Salt & Pepper



Preparazione
Cook pasta.

In meantime heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat; add onion and cook 3 minutes; add bacon and cook 3 more minutes; add the tomatoes and cook 10 more minutes.
Add marjoram, salt and pepper and keep cooking for few more minutes.
Drain the pasta, return to the pot and pour sauce over pasta. Stir well.
Serve with Pecorino, Parmesan or Feta and some fresh ground pepper
