FOOD FROM EUROPE

PAPAL FETTUCCINE
Ingredients for 6 persons:


1 box of fettuccine (egg pasta)
4 sliced of ham, diced
1 can of peas
3 eggs
6 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, divided
3 tablespoon butter or margarine, divided ( 2 for frying the onion, 1 to toss the pasta )
1 onion sliced small
salt & pepper
2 garlic cloves, crushed


Fry the sliced onion and garlic in some butter ( 3 minutes) add the peas and cook 5 more minutes.
Add the chopped ham, salt, and pepper and cook 5 more minutes. Remove from heat.
 In a bowl, mix the eggs with three tablespoon of Parmesan. When the pasta is ready, add it to the eggs mixture until the sauce thickens around the pasta.
Bring back the skillet with the onion mixture over low heat: Add the pasta , 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine and cook until the butter is melted stirring slowly.
Serve with a generous amount of Parmesan and a good sprinkling of freshly ground pepper
