FOOD FROM EUROPE

SAN MARINO

BUCATINI ALL’AMATRICIANA
Ingredients for 6 persons:

1 box bucatini or spaghetti
6 slices of bacon, diced
1 jar of tomato sauce or 6 cups of your tomato sauce
1 cup Roman pecorino cheese
1 Onion sliced thin
2 tablespoon Olive oil
Salt
1 tablespoon Red pepper flakes ( or more at your taste )
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Heat oil an add the onion and garlic, cook till it get brown, then add the bacon cut into little cubes and cook 5 more minutes.
Add, the tomatoes, salt , red pepper flakes and balsamic vinegar
Leave the sauce cook slowly (about 15 minutes )
 In the meanwhile, boil some water and cook the pasta.
 Once ready, pour pasta into the pan and cook together with the sauce. ( 3 minutes )
Sprinkle Romano cheese on top
Optional: You can add some fresh chopped parsley for decoration
