FOOD FROM THE MEDITERRANEAN AREA

GOLUBAC FORTRESS - SERBIA ( Former Jugoslavjia )


Cevapcici                   


·  300 GRAM MINCED PORK or ground pork
·  300 GRAM MINCED BEEF  or ground beef
·  3 Garlic cloves, chopped
·  1/2 TSP Paprika
·  Onion, chopped small
·  1 Egg
·  1 Red Sweet Pepper, cut in strips
·  Cherry tomatoes
·  2 TBSP Breadcrumbs
   Salt & Pepper
   1 cup olive oil


·  Mix the minced meats with the garlic, the onion, the egg, the breadcrumbs, the paprika   powder  and salt & pepper to taste and form 30 small oval balls.

 Skewer them ( 4 ) with some cherry tomatoes and sweet pepper pieces in between, baste with a drop of olive oil and grill the skewers approximately 3-4 minutes per side.

The number of serving depends on the size of the “cevapcici”
You can use just one meat or you can change to ground lamb, turkey or chicken

Optional : use some BBQ sauce
